About Me

About the Artist

Based in the beautiful region of Warrandyte South, my journey with art began in high school, where I fell in love with painting large abstract canvases. While life later led me to study graphic design and build a career in HR-alongside raising a busy family of four boys-my passion for the brush never truly left me. In 2009, a gift of art lessons at Montsalvat in Eltham reignited that spark. Following years of study there and later with the Whitehorse Art Association, I stepped fully into my practice.

Medium & Philosophy

While I enjoy experimenting with acrylics, abstract styles, and watercolors, oil remains my preferred medium. My portfolio has evolved from quiet still lifes to deeply personal portraits, beloved animals, nostalgic lanterns, dilapidated buildings, and sweeping landscapes.

I am drawn to subjects that hold a special meaning. When painting a portrait, I invest my whole heart and soul into the piece. I strive to connect deeply with the subject, capturing the raw honesty, emotion, and essence of who they are.

Bringing the Everyday to Life

With over 35 varied commissions to date, my work spans a diverse tapestry of everyday life: children walking to school, families watching a country sunset, cherished pets, or people immersed in their daily trade.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to bring to life the people, places, and items we hold dear, giving ordinary moments and honest labor the dignity they deserve through accurate, unembellished storytelling. Above all, I paint to bring a joyful smile to the face of every onlooker and collector.

If you would like to see a special part of your world brought to life, I would love to connect with you.
